Antioxidants

Vitamins C and E and the minerals, Zinc and Selenium, amongst others, are known as antioxidants because of their anti-ageing effect. They are contained in nuts, fruits and most vegetables and are the body's defence against "free radicals".

In small quantities free radicals can fight bacteria and viruses. However, in larger quantities they encourage the ageing process and cause damage to our cells.

Vitamin C and E are the most powerful antioxidants and are effective at regulating free radicals.
